Boy Meets Pearl and Seamstresses: Potter's House Music Series

  • The Potter's House 1658 Columbia Road Northwest Washington, DC, 20009 United States (map)

Boy Meets Pearl are your Victorian Music Hall Dreampop Daddy!  Queer-fronted and oddly orchestrated, the ensemble features accordion, cello, glockenspiel, autoharp, viola, Chapman Stick, bari sax and percussion.  They perform songs inspired by things odd and arcane like time rifts, tiger sharks and the meaning of life.

Seamstresses writes brooding, explosively emotional music with lush instrumentation and haunting presence. Members Rachel Bauchman, Alyson Cina, Hester Doyle, and Greg Svitil weave songs with driving melodies and four-part vocal harmony about childhood monsters, lonely roads, and surprising pockets of warmth in the heart.

Coffee, tea, bottled beverages and books will be open during the show so feel free to get something delicious to drink or pick up your next favorite read.

Suggested minimum donation $10 at the door.
