Leaning Back Into the Spirit: Contemplative Prayer/Meditation Retreat & Series

  • The Potter's House 1658 Columbia Road Northwest Washington, DC, 20009 United States (map)

Join Anna, a longtime DC yoga and meditation teacher, burnout and wellness consultant, and student and lover of the contemplative tradition for this fall series. She is known for her humor and warmth, depth, and making a variety of practices accessible, meditative, and dare we say: fun!

Participants are invited to engage in a half-day retreat followed by a six-week evening series of contemplative prayer and meditation practices. While rooted in the Christian mystical tradition, faiths and practices from a diverse array of backgrounds will be shared. No prior experience is necessary, only a desire to experience greater Presence in our frenetic lives, communities, and world.

Silence and rest, as well as embodied forms of practice, creativity, and sound—among others—will be offered. Times for sharing and reflection as well as community-building and fellowship are also a part of this special series.

Whatever your state and role in life, your background or tradition, there is something here for you. Each week will focus on a different practice, allowing participants to dive in and experience each for themselves, noticing what resonates and where curiosity arises.

ALL are welcome. Need more info? Email annafranklinconsulting@gmail.com

Tuition* for the half-day retreat and six-week series is $255 when you sign up by Friday September 1st; $325 afterwards. Tuition includes the retreat and six-week series, as well as coffee and refreshments during the retreat.

Register by making your payment via Venmo here and include your email address in the memo line so that Anna can follow up with you. *Payments are non-refundable
