New Moon, New Wave: The Unity of Sisterhood on our Journey to Motherhood

Jesse and Rio are two doulas of color passionate about racial justice and inviting you to come and sit with us. Often times, we are told what to do, how to think, and what to feel. Our voices go unheard, our wishes ignored and our bodies violated. Black maternal mortality rates are high in result of nothing other than inadequate care due to racism. Cultures, traditions, and values of Indigenous Latinx Women are often ignored and belittled, which not only suppress us but contributes to the devaluing of us as patients and human beings. This event is for mothers and birthworkers of color that are interested in building a strong front as we encounter the many faces of racism during our journey into motherhood. We would like to invite you to The Potter's House to share your story, your concerns and your journey so we can come together to use knowledge as our tool and ACTION as our power. Join Us.
