A Night for Syria

A Night for Syria

A Little Sparkle Foundation's flagship event begins with 'A Night for Syria'. This event will provide not only insight to some of the difficulties that refugees have had during their transition from Syria, but also how we can work together in order to provide sustainable solutions to refugee families living in camps and resettling. We are bringing together artists and humanitarians to help tell these stories.

Tickets for this event are a little untraditional in that we have set up a crowd source funding platform, and we are asking for a suggested donation of $20. When you come to the event, please have the confirmation email of your donation and that will be your ticket.

___________

Syria’s civil war has created the worst humanitarian crisis of our time. Half the country’s pre-war population — over 11 million people — have been killed or forced to flee their homes.

Families are struggling to survive inside Syria, or make a new home in neighbouring countries while others are risking their lives on their way to Europe, hoping to find acceptance and opportunity. Harsh winters and hot summers make life as a refugee even more difficult. At times, the effects of the conflict can seem overwhelming.

But one fact is simple: millions of Syrians need our help.

With your donation we are aiming to provide sustainable solutions to refugees who are amidst resettlement by improving shelters and providing clothing, food, clean water, and other household essentials. Our project integrates skill-building techniques to improve the quality of life and lay the foundation for a smoother transition. We will be helping children cope with extreme stress through leading constructive activities to nurture their healthy development. A key aspect of the sustainable solutions this project seeks to provide is to have a long-term impact on children through education by supplying textbooks and educational tools.

These activities are carefully designed to promote a safe, communal environment for all family members away from the many hardships of camp life.
