Poetry Reading With Joshua Weiner, Tadeusz Dabrowski, and Sean Enright
Polish poet, Tadeusz Dabrowski kicks off a U.S. reading tour for his new book from Zephyr Press, Posts, by joining two local poets, Maryland native, Sean Enright, and The Potter's House neighbor, Joshua Weiner, for a poetry reading and book signing.
Tadeusz Dąbrowski, is the author of seven volumes of poetry in his native Polish, the most recent of which is Środek wyrazu (2016). His two poetry collections in the U.S. are Black Square (2011) and Posts (2017), both from Zephyr Press. Widely published in many of the best U.S. journals-- including The New Yorker, Boston Review, Ploughshares, American Poetry Review, Tin House, and Little Star--his work has been translated into 20 languages. He lives in Gdańsk, on the Baltic Coast of Poland.
Sean Enright is the author of The Beautiful Ones (CreateSpace 2017), his fourth collection of poetry. His previous volumes of poetry are The Intelligence Officer Prepares to Enter Heaven (2016), Bob Dylan Sleeping (2014), and My People: Selected Poems, 1990-2012. He has also written two novels, Nearly True (2012), and Goof and Other Stories (2001). His poems, essays and translations have appeared in TriQuarterly, Threepenny Review, The Sewanee Review, Kenyon Review, Verse, Tikkun, Provincetown Arts, and The Southern Poetry Review, among others. Sean Enright lives in Kensington, Maryland.
Joshua Weiner is the author of three books of poetry, including The Figure of a Man Being Swallowed by a Fish (2013). He is also the editor of At the Barriers: On the Poetry of Thom Gunn (all from Chicago). His most recent book, Berlin Notebook, prose about the refugee crisis, was published by the Los Angeles Review of Books (2016), and funded by a Guggenheim fellowship. His poems and essays have appeared in Best American Poetry, The New York Review of Books, The Nation, The American Scholar, Harvard Review, The New Republic, Brick, and elsewhere. He is professor of English at the University of Maryland, and the poetry editor of Tikkun magazine. He lives with his family in Washington D.C.
