Yemaya & the Blessing of Love

Milagros was born and spent her formative years in the Caribbean, an influence that still informs the choices of color and flow in her paintings. She moved to New York City as a preteen where she began exploring her talents in the performing and visual arts. She attended Music & Art High School where her education included everything from pottery to sculpting and of course art history, painting and drawing.

She then attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York City, where she majored in Fashion Design. Milagros’ artistic career has included fashion art, image consulting, floral arts, interior design and painting. In her words, “For me, art is a visual expression of the indwelling place of our spirit. Art is a passageway from the dimensions of color and light to the dimension of form and structure.”

Milagros creates images that touch the senses and sooth the heart. She transfers her understanding of energy and vibration from her work as a musician and sound therapist to the visual arts. Her paintings like her music are truly a delight. If there is someone in your life moving through patterns of transformation, whether it is health or other life changes, Milagros may be commissioned to create a piece that addresses mind, body, emotions and spirit, or simply surrounds their environment in beauty and Love.

Milagros hosts Spirit In Action, 4th Tuesday on WPFW 89.3 FM, Pacifica Radio, she has been appointed as an AMBASSADOR FOR PEACE, by the Inter-religious, International Federation for world Peace. She performs meditation concerts and has produced and recorded several CDs, including BREATH OF CREATION with the musical group, SOUNDING, REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE and 100 WORDS OF PEACE, which contains the word peace in 100 different languages.

Milagros has over 20 years of healing and training experience. She is a Reiki Master and teacher, a graduate of Awakening Your Light Body, Certified Magnified Healing practitioner, teacher of A Course in Miracles.

Milagros develops and facilitates original workshops and seminars for the private and corporate sector.
