The Potter’s House is Washington's original church coffeehouse with a bookstore, art gallery, restaurant, discussion center, entertainment venue, catering service, and gift shop. We offer community, hospitality, and a listening ear to all who enter. We are thankful for all of the wonderful people with whom God has blessed us through the years. We want to consistently share the vision that we are all clay in the Potter’s hands.
Potter’s House was created as a space to bring together people of diverse backgrounds seeking to journey together for larger spiritual purposes. The early conversations nurtured around the tables of this “tavern church” gave birth to many organizations that make up our neighborhood today — Christ House, Jubilee Housing, Jubilee Jobs, Good Shepherd Ministries, Columbia Road Health Services, and Samaritan Inns.
We are the original church coffeehouse, "the church in the marketplace".
A warm, holy place where no one is a stranger for very long.
